Donate to our ReStore locations, change lives in our communities.

Our ReStore locations in McHenry and Woodstock are open Tuesday-Saturday each week from 9am-5pm accepting donations on site at our donation doors.

Donating your unwanted items to Habitat for Humanity’s ReStores is an easy and rewarding way to support a worthy cause and make a positive impact in our community. Your Donation:

• Funds our mission: All proceeds from the sale of donated items go directly towards homebuilding projects. You are helping us to raise funds that support our partnership with families in McHenry County to build safe, decent, and affordable housing.
• Reduces waste: When you donate items to our ReStores, you are making an environmentally conscious choice by keeping them out of landfills and reducing waste.
• Is tax-deductible: When you donate items to our ReStores, you may be eligible for a tax deduction. Be sure to ask for a receipt when you donate, and consult with your tax advisor for more information.
• Supports individuals and families in your community: By donating to our ReStores, you are helping to provide affordable home improvement materials and furnishings to members of our community. The positive ripple effect spreads beyond your household, impacting the entire community.

All donations must be approved by Habitat ReStore staff. We may decline an item based on its condition, our inventory of similar items, or our ability to resell the item. If your items are not as described upon arrival, our drivers have the final word on whether we can accept items. Must be clean and in working condition from pet free and smoke free homes.
